Privacy Policy


This Privacy Policy explains how People Matters Network Limited, all associated businesses and all on-line communities powered by FreeTimePays collects, maintains and uses information it holds on businesses and individuals. The policy is effective as of 25 May 2018.

Data Collection

People Matters Network collects and holds a variety of personally identifiable information. This includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, business addresses and additional information such topics of interest (referred to as passions) and district of residence. This information has been collected either directly from individuals or from the businesses in which the individual is employed. This information may be gathered through e-mails, phone calls, online registration forms, event registrations, face to face meetings or publically accessible data.

People Matters Network operates in partnership with many organisations and, from time to time, joint marketing campaigns may be conducted and co-ordinated by People Matters Network and information may be circulated by People Matters Network for this purpose.

People Matters Network does not collect or retain financial data about individuals or businesses.

The People Matters Network uses Google Analytics to automatically gathers information about the viewed and visited pages and links on our website, entry and exit points, number of form completions, time spent on pages, downloads, keywords used offsite to lead customers to our website, your internet protocol (IP) address, information collected via cookies, the areas you visit on the website and the links you may select from within the website to other external websites.

Deletion of records

If you or your business requests that details be deleted from our records, this will automatically stop all communication being sent from us.

Security of data

Appropriate security measures are in place to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way. Access to your personal data will only be shared with those employees, contractors or agents who have a legitimate business need to have access to that data. All users will be subject to a duty of confidentiality and due care with respect to handling the personal data. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected data security breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected breach where we are legally required to do so. People Matters Network staff are trained on data security and information protection.

Our links with Third Party Site

Given the nature of our business, People Matters Network links from and to third-party web sites may be in place. These links are provided as a service to website users. The linked third-party websites may well be operated by independent entities that have their own privacy policies.

The People Matters Network Privacy Policy does not apply to such other websites or to the use that those entities make of your information. People Matters Network has no control over the content displayed on such sites, nor over the measures taken to protect the privacy of your information. Websites set up and managed by People Matters network may also serve third party advertisements, or other content that contains their own cookies or tracking technologies. People Matters Network does not control the technology employed.


People Matters Network regularly communicates information on posts, features, events, surveys and polls and any other products or services.

People Matters Network often collaborates with other relevant organisations to disseminate information, engage community, conduct surveys and promote programmes that may be of interest to a wide and diverse business community.

All communication is undertaken in good faith on the understanding that such information may legitimately benefit from receiving such information. If you or your business do not wish to receive marketing material, you may opt out. Every marketing e-mail will include an 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom. You may also notify People Matters Network in writing as set out below.

Marketing and Surveying Tools employed

In addition to our own engagement and marketing tools, People Matters Network may use third party tools such as Mailchimp to dispatch email marketing campaigns and Survey tools to collect survey response data. Personal data by be held on these tools. This data will not be shared with any other organisations.

Access, Review and Correction

The General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to access your personal data held by us (“subject access request”). Subject access requests must be made in writing to the details below. We will endeavour to respond to the request within 30 days as required by the GDPR.

It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. We will take all reasonable measures to ensure that the personal data we hold about you is accurate.

When you make a request to access or review the personal data we hold about you, we will request you to verify your identity before the request can be fulfilled.
